Any chance Nintendo ports over the entire Kiseki Series physically?? With NIS seemingly to be on board, porting their titles to the Switch, I think its a perfect opportunity to ask Nintendo the entire 9 part series for Kiseki series and more. The Switch will seem to capture the Vita's JRPG library soon enough.
At most I can see a cs1 +2 collection and then 3 standalone.Maybe Cold Steel III could be released there
But all previous 9 titles? nah
I also recently finished TitTs FC and thoroughly enjoyed it. I will most likely pick up SC but I was wondering if SC is also super strict on missables? I hated how easily I missed some achievement related items lol.

No. No, there is no chance Nintendo will port the entire Kiseki series (or any game, for that matter) and no, Disgaea 5+ can hardly be called the Vita's JRPG library.Any chance Nintendo ports over the entire Kiseki Series physically?? Well, at least Cold Steel warns you when you're about to "advance the story", so there is that. You can't miss stuff just by daring to go through some door or enter some place, they always warn you.Of course it is. All of the games in the series are like this
The switch will eventually get more 3rd party support particularly in Japan the way the vita did. The switch is basically a lock to sell more then Vita thanks to Pokemon. The question of if falcom will bother porting things to it is trickier, if ps4 to switch porting is easy enough and the market is as good as vita I can see it happening eventually.
Remember, guys, the last game Falcom themselves published and developed for a Nintendo system was Ys 5 back in the 90's
Trails In The Sky: Chapter 3
Zeiss was a good time. Getting acquainted with the various new characters was nice, but catching up with old faces was even better. This game is so good at making use out of its extended cast. Like I thought CS1 was good, but goddamn. Everyone is always on the move, so you run into situations where an "inseparable" pairs like Dorothy and Nial show up in different chapters, and seemingly irrelevant NPCs show up again (hey fishing guy!) for matters unrelated to the main plot. Jesus. It's actually pretty similar to One Piece in that regard (or even just in general, lol) and awesome for it. In retrospect, it's actually kind of depressing it took so long for us to get TiTS
Anyway, I really enjoyed the Central Factory. I wasn't immediately overwhelmed by its massive size because I knew I was going to be darting back and forth between floors for quests and such. And man, it eventually became a second home to me. Murdock, Louise, the boss nurse, the loser with the unrequited crush... all just as memorable and likeable as the last chapter's batch of characters. Tita was probably my favorite charactter. She was likeable, charming and adorable but without feeling manufactured to pander to a certain crowd. She really fit the Zeiss setting, and her arc (while predictable) was really sweet and endearing. Agate's involvement in this chapter was also pretty fantastic as well.
I felt that this chapter was more setup-ey than the last, but goddamn the things that were set up. The main antagonist reveal was genuinely shocking. If I hadn't played Trails of Cold Steel, Imight have immediately pegged them as the bad guys, but after CS1 conditioned me to think of military folk as good people. SoNeidhart's long lost brotherColonel Richard totally flew under my radar. Also MY GOD Amalthea's fucking evil jerk ass sprite was goddamn hysterical. I'm pretty sure I laughed for a good minute when I first saw it, and it still gets a chuckle out of me every time it props up. Can't wait to dunk on these assholes
All in all, I'm pretty hyped for Grancel. I have a feeling it's going to be the best chapter.
Next time,
Trails In The Sky: The Movie
As much as I want two replay them, don't have the time currently.I'll echo that, especially the screenshots you take give me some great flashbacks to these moments. Sometimes though I'm totally lost which is basically a sign that I should really replay Sky at some point.
As much as I want two replay them, don't have the time currently.just got to the final chapter in cold steel 2.

Or even a member of the Vita's JRPG library for that matter. lol
Nintendo always has 3rd party games(mostly ports) lined up at a console's launch event. and in a year it almost always completely dries up. I don't think the switch is going to be much different personally.
Got my copies of Zero and Ao. Looking forward to the fan translations.
uh what??? where can I learn more of this!?!?!?!

So who knows what will happen..we current just have Chinese language version distribution, if you have more requirement about English version, we may discuss this
Also the Chinese version of the games has been greenlit on steam by Joyoland. Joyoland did mention So who knows what will happen..
While I love the series, I seriously don't like replaying them, since they are loooong games, even with the NG+ benefits. I tried getting the Platinum trophy for CSI and failed miserably, and I'm starting to get sick of my CSII's NG+ run, which I'm doing mostly for the new quest that you get with it.
Also I kind of fucked up picking up Hard instead of Nightmare, so if I really want that platinum, I'll have to replay it for a third time. I'll probably just skip all sidequests and student recruits this time around.
I can never get myself to replay games these days. Not when my backlog has so many new experiences I do want to try. However at this point these games are the ones I'm inevitably drawing comparisons to.If anything i'm the opposite.
These games are all I think about when i'm playing other games/trying to chip through my backlog.
It's been really hard not to replay the whole series again till 3rd hits.
well, cold steel 2 can be completed in 6 hours on a replayI'm honestly surprised people replay these games, long as they are. I mean I do enjoy them but with all the unskippable cut scenes? Nope nope nope
Do you have to replay the entire game to do the NG+ stuff in the Cold Steel games? It sounds pretty substantial from what I've read but that seems like a lot to replay.
To be honest, these games are pretty much the only ones i've ever really felt that with. As to your second point, yeah, me too. I've been good at chipping away at my backlog consistently though, so maybe i'm a bit better on that... for now (this week is killing me with Yakuza/Tales/DQ8, not to mention the stuff I skipped last year too D.I can never get myself to replay games these days. Well for the Cold Steel games, you just hold down the fast-forward button if you don't want to see them. I'm fine with rewatching them though, because I like them. I do blast through everything when i'm doing trophy stuff though.I'm honestly surprised people replay these games, long as they are. I mean I do enjoy them but with all the unskippable cut scenes? It also helps that i'm just efficient with these games and a fast reader too!
Over the past month I picked up Diablo 3 Battlechest, Grim Dawn, Victor Vran and Torchlight 2. Enough dungeon raiding to last a year probably. I'm currently blazing my way through TitS FC new game + to get missing achievements. I read people's impressions on how SC is basically the same with essentially no new gameplay or features (I see some combos and stuff but everything else looks the same). I have 63 hours logged in FC and don't know if I should jump into SC when I have so many games to play. It's a slog going through the unskippable cutscenes and it's not really fun to do lol.
What do you guys think? Should I start up SC as soon as I'm done while everything is fresh or should I take a break from TitS and enjoy other games before jumping back on?

I can't help but feel this will ultimately hurt their chances of localization rather than help them. With their Steam versions being via Joyoland, XSEED will have to play ball with THEM as well as Falcom now, putting it in the same Licensing Hell as the Evo versions of the games.
And then there's the matter that the most diehard fans of the series now are going to just buy Joyoland's version and plug fan-translations in instead of waiting for XSEED even if they can get anywhere with the license, making such an effort even more futile
Woot. Double dip soon.
