they give them hundreds of millions a year. they just haven't announced shit. its not like they are sitting there doing nothing. its been this way for the past half decade......they just laid off 900 devs and closed multiple studios. sony should give playstation more money instead of the tv hacks. thats where the talent is.
If there’s one thing they have it’s Horizon projects.
Honestly, who cares. Sony movies stink, but it’s a completely seperate endeavor from their gaming stuff. If you’re gonna crank out slop might as well use IP owned by the same parent company.
Oh, and I forgot Santa Monica
They didn’t just start releasing movies in 2024.Hell yea bro these guys are good
Nd has 250 devs working on intergalactic. You need way more developers to make games nowadays.they give them hundreds of millions a year. they just haven't announced shit. its not like they are sitting there doing nothing. its been this way for the past half decade......
stop acting so dense please
Well they could greenlight a handful of fan-requested realistic budgeted AA games to fill the gaps between their tentpole releases and GaaS stuff. That's what Sony used to do and why I liked them for a long time. Seems that it could be considered a "win" by many.So either ‘announce everything extremely early and look bad for years with delays and setbacks’
Or
‘Wait to announce things until they are a year or less away and look bad as if you have no projects on the horizon’
So I see that there is no winning in this scenario, at least to the public.
I swear, I don't now if that website can even grasp any of that. Be like "diD yOu kNOwZ sOnYz mAkEZ morE aNImEz den gAmEz" lolyeah man definitely the team creating these movies/series are the same ones responsible for the games.
They didn’t just start releasing movies in 2024.
how dare you, especially after this was announced:If there’s one thing they have it’s Horizon projects.
Honestly, who cares. Sony movies stink, but it’s a completely seperate endeavor from their gaming stuff. If you’re gonna crank out slop might as well use IP owned by the same parent company.
If it were up to me, I would do like in Terminator... I go back to the past to destroy the source code or the final Beta of Horizon so that it doesn't exist.... Then I poke Jim Ryan in the eyes, I stomp on the Japanese who right now... I hit Druckmann on the head and destroyed the code from The last of us 2 and Intergalatic... And in the end he pulled down his underwear and hit Hulst in the balls.Insanity.
What kind of delusional mind would come up with the idea of a Gravity Rush live-action? Poor Kat doesn't deserve the vandalization that's coming to her. I summon Heimdall_Xtreme for an objective assessment of Hermen Hulst's deranged plans.

Could you get anymore retarded? ANNOUNCED is different to PLANNED…Jesus Christ this level of stupid is borderline offensive.Source:
Sony Now Has More Live-Action And TV Shows Planned Than Video Games
Sony currently has seven films and several TV shows in development, compared to only three announced first-party game titles.tech4gamers.com
Sony made several major announcements at CES, revealing adaptations for its popular IPs. Helldivers 2 is getting a live-action movie, though details remain scarce. Columbia Pictures is developing a Horizon New Dawn movie retelling Aloy’s story in collaboration with PlayStation Productions.
Ghost of Tsushima Legends was also revealed as an anime adaptation under Aniplex Studio. It will adapt the game’s Legends mode.
The Until Dawn movie, now in post-production, will tell a new story set in the game’s universe. The Last of Us Season 2 teaser was also revealed, set for release in April. Meanwhile, Gravity Rush is getting a live-action adaptation, though an animated approach seemed more fitting.
Twisted Metal Season 2 has wrapped filming and is expected this year. Sequels for Uncharted and Gran Turismo are also in early development at Columbia Pictures.
However, God of War’s TV adaptation on Prime has faced repeated delays since its 2022 announcement and remains in early production. Similarly, updates on the Days Gone live-action adaptation, reported by Deadline in 2022, are still awaited.
Compared to 7 movie adaptations and multiple other TV shows, Sony only has 3 first-party titles planned for the PlayStation 5. Ghost of Yotei is the only title planned for a 2025 release date, while not much is known about Marvel’s Wolverine and Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.

Same shillnalist also wrote thisWhat kind of shill hit piece is this?
Remember the whole "Sony has no first-party games until April 2025, LMAO"?
And remember how this Sony first-party game was just announced 3 months later, released in September 2024 and went on to win GOTY at TGA?
Seems like it's moving that wayRemember when Xbox was like TV, TV, TV, TV, living room, kinnect, always online, tv... maybe games later, and people rightfully gave them shit about it?
I guess that is where Sony is now, well except no spybox, and kinnect.
Care nothing for "gaming shows" .
Would love to see live-action series based on Kill Zone, God of War, Resistance, Folklore, and Returnal.
